Albert was born July 15, 1911 to William Henry and Mary Ann(Nelson) Stewart in Mapleton, Kansas. He went to Seattle, WA in the fall of 1939 where he worked in a rope factory. In 1941 he was drafted into the Army, he served 4 ½ years and received nine battle stars. He came home in August of 1945 and married Luella Wimer in Seattle, WA. They moved to Iowa where he worked as a mechanic and for the railroad. He retired from Safeway Bakery in 1972. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed bowling and playing the banjo in a Senior Citizen Band for 15 years. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. Albert is survived by his wife of 63 years Luella Stewart, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation:
Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Tuesday at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home.
Service:
Graveside service will be held 10:30am, Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Council Bluffs with military rites provided by American Legion Rainbow Post #2.
