Obituary for Bill Dean Andersen
Bill Dean Andersen, age 84 of Council Bluffs passed away on March 22, 2013. He was born August 27, 1928 in Blair, NE to Emil T. and Helen J. (Boston) Andersen. Bill was a truck driver for Graves Truck Line competing in the National Truck Rodeo and once winning Driver of the Year. Bill loved his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings. He also enjoyed camping, bowling, fishing and boating. Bill was also a part time small engine repairman and a full time handyman. Bill was proud to have retired at 60, and in his retirement he and his wife Carol traveled the countryside in their motor home making many new lifelong friends, eventually retiring in Sebring, FL where they lived for 17 years. Three years ago they returned to Council Bluffs and made their home at Risen Son Christian Village. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold, sister Doris and wife Carol. Bill will be sadly missed by his children, Roy, Ronald, Rodney, Carolyn, Randy, Kristene, Roxann and their spouses; nineteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren; sister Claudia; brothers Raymond and Gary; numerous aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
