Obituary for Darlene D. Hill

Darlene D. Hill, age 96, of Council Bluffs passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Midlands Living Center. 


Darlene was born on January 1, 1926 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late George and Ruth (Lackey) Huxford. Darlene married Benjamin F. Hill on February 22, 1946. Darlene was a self-employed Dance Instructor. Darlene was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.


Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Hill in 2006. Survivors include son, Kent and Kay Hill of San Diego, CA.; 2 granddaughters, Kimberly and Jason Hill-Hayden of Aliso-Viejo, CA.; Alicia Johnson of Coon Rapids, MN.; 2 great grandsons, Connor Hayden of Stanton Island, NY; Joshua Hayden of Aliso-Viejo, CA.; brother, Gary and Judy Huxford of Marengo, Iowa; nieces, nephews and other relatives.


Darlene has been cremated. Further services at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA at a later date.
