Obituary for Delores Jean Thomas-Black
Delores J. Thomas-Black, age 82, passed away on August 4, 2013 at Midlands Living Center after a battle with mesothelioma. Delores was born February 1, 1931 in Council Bluffs to the late Leonard and Selma (Reikofski) Jacob. Delores was a Council Bluffs school bus driver, truck driver, and oil painter. She taught Sunday school for 13 years at Faith Lutheran Church. She loved to dance; the fast waltz, jitterbug, and all Latin American dances were her favorites. She enjoyed swimming, playing tennis, roller skating, and bowling. Delores was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Thomas; daughter Jami Thomas; sister Euveda and brothers Louis and Leonard. Delores is survived by her children: Danny Thomas, Dawn MacDonald, Lana Thomas, Shelley Thomas, and Diana Stahlnecker; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; brother Stanley Jacob; second husband Edward Black and his children; David, Cheryl, Carol, and Scott; host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
