Obituary for Evelyn "Alice" Knott
Evelyn was born November 7, 1931, to the late Emil and Lily Christiansen in Council Bluffs, IA. She passed away August 18, 2022, at the Northcrest Living Center, Council Bluffs. Evelyn graduated form Thomas Jefferson High School in 1949. She later married William Knott January 28, 1955. Evelyn was a longtime housekeeper for the Pottawattamie Court House. She had a great love for her Kitties, other people’s business and had an unfiltered humorous outlook on life.
Evelyn is preceded in death along with her parents, husband, William; sister, Virginia Hays; cousins, Joy Munson, Clark Kahill; kittens, T.B., Gray Bear, Shade and Sugar. She is survived by her son, Alan (Grace) Knott; grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley Knott; niece, Beth (Bill) Towne; nephews, Doug (Barb) Hays, John (Ramona) Hays.
Memorial Service Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Maher Funeral Home. Visitation starting one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Interment Silver City Cemetery. Memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
