Obituary for Florence Verna Stephens
Florence Verna Stephens, age 92, passed away August 16, 2015 at Tabor Manor. She was born December 17, 1922 in Dunlap, IA to Myron and Gertrude (Blackman) Shreeves; who preceded her in death. Florence was a twin and the oldest of eleven children. She was married to Rubert “Buck” Stephens for 35 years. Florence loved company and cooking for them. She also enjoyed working in her garden and canning, playing cards and bingo.
In addition to her parents; she is also preceded in death by her husband Rubert Stephens, daughter Sharon Stephens and son Myron Stephens, granddaughter Tracie Clark.
Florence is survived by her daughter Nancy “Cookie” Hansen; grandsons Robert Stephens and Rick Stephens; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Shirley Stephens; and special niece Marcia Rasmussen.
