Gary L. Bergen, 63, of Council Bluffs passed away Monday January 26, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. Gary was a 1963 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and worked as a mechanical engineer in the heating and air conditioning industry.
He was born September 10, 1945 in Council Bluffs to Walter L. and Doris D. (Mikesell) Bergen who preceded him in death. Gary was also preceded by his granddaughter Stephanie Hutchison-King.
He is survived by his son Gary Bergen, Jr. Daughters and sons in law Robin and Rob Hutchison; Brenda and Shawn Tietz. 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Best friends Pat and Wayne Plummer. Nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be at 1:00 PM in the Carson, Iowa Cemetery with ilitary honors by Carson American Legion Post # 556.
Visitation: One hour prior to service.
