Obituary for Gerald Arlan Papst
Gerald A. “Jerry” Papst, age 81, founder and owner of Omaha Slings, passed away May 10, 2017 at his home in Papillion after suffering from Alzheimers. He was born August 30, 1935 in Greeley, NE to Joseph L. and Hyldabell (Edwards) Papst; who preceded him in death. Jerry worked hard building a successful business and was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. He is survived by his wife June; son Daniel and wife Sandie; grandchildren Rebecca Clifton and husband Greg, Adam Papst and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Linzey, London, and Cali; sisters Judy Walker and Jane Royer; brother Lonnie Papst.
