Obituary for Helen Eleanor McFadden
Helen McFadden, age 90 of Council Bluffs, passed away April 10, 2014 at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, IA. Helen was born on January 28, 1924 in Pearl River, NY to Theodore and Elizabeth Harmsen, who preceded her in death and was raised in Spring Valley, NY. Helen served as a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force, stationed in Ogden, UT and Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, CO. She worked for several years at Ledley’s Laboratory in Pearl River and owned and operated M&M Printing with her husband of 60 years, Bruce. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband Bruce, son Ted and granddaughter Rachel. She is survived by her children Luanne Riffle and husband Lance, Bruce McFadden, Jr. and wife Jodie, Glenn McFadden, Kathy Hoins and husband Bruce, Floyd McFadden and wife Rene, and Bryan McFadden; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters Kay DePhillips and Emily Gannon.

Walnut Hill Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Iowa National Guard.
