Obituary for Joyce A. Oellerich
Joyce A. Oellerich, age 75, of Council Bluffs passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at her home.
She was born on February 9, 1947 in Council Bluffs to the late Ellis and Mary (Hinkle) Smith. Joyce married Carl Oellerich on August 5, 2000. She worked as a Machine Operator for Shared Service Laundry for 20 years retiring in 2010. Joyce was a member of Calvary Country Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, David McIntosh in 2021; sister Colleen Derdan.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Oellerich of Council Bluffs; daughter, Joann and Paul Higgins of Council Bluffs; 4 grandchildren; stepchildren, Paula Oellerich of Pella, IA; Patricia and David Van Haaften of Omaha; David Oellerich of Papillion; Sonja and Don Honeycutt of Omaha; Dawn and Mohamed Issawi of Omaha; Jamie Oellerich of Omaha; sisters, Jean Smith and Janice and Duane Seagle all of Council Bluffs.
Visitation with family on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Maher Funeral Home. Funeral service on Thursday at 1:00PM at Calvary Country Church, 22429 Highway 6 in Council Bluffs. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will direct memorials.
