Obituary for Lawrence Burnham Propst
Lawrence Burnham Propst, 76 of Council Bluffs passed away October 17, 2012 at Risen Son Christian Village. Larry was born February 18, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Lawrence H. and Ella Ethel Propst. He graduated from Des Moines Township High School and Iowa State University and proudly served in the U.S. Army. Larry was married to Helen (Palo) Propst in 1961. They were blessed with two children, Kelly and Daniel; who preceded his father in death in 2009. In addition to his beloved wife Helen and daughter Kelly, Larry is survived by his sister Jocquelyn Girdner and her husband Charles, and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Maher-Livingston with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by American Legion Rainbow Post #2.
