Leatha Lucille Mortensen, age 78, of Council Bluffs, passed away May 10, 2010 at her home. Leatha was born December 31, 1931 in Hamilton County, NE to William and Elizabeth (Siebert) Nunnenkamp. On March 10, 1950, she married Clyde Mortensen in Grand Island, NE and to this union they were blessed with five children. Leatha also worked at The Daily Nonpareil Newspaper and owned and operated Pincushion Fabrics as well as doing custom sewing from her home. Leatha was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church prior to its closing and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Omaha. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Hampton, NE.
Leatha is preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Nunnnenkamp, twin sister and four brothers; children Marty and Michelle, grandson Peter Fritze and great-grandchild Emma Manz.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Mortensen, daughters Gwen Martins and husband Bob, Sharon Manz and husband Steve, Sheryl McConkey and husband Charlie; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers Fred Nunnenkamp, Harold Nunnenkamp, and Eugene Nunnenkamp; sisters Bernice
