Leonard Sonny Bascue, aged 64, of Council Bluffs, passed away July 3, 2009.
Sonny was born August 20, 1944 in St. Joseph, MO to Leonard and Thelma (McDowell)
Bascue. He was raised and educated in St. Joseph. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and Army Reserves during Desert Storm. Sonny moved to Council Bluffs in 1991 and worked in warehouses until he retired in 2000.
Sonny was preceded in death by his father Oscar Leonard Bascue (1956), stepfather Harold Bowman (1990) and his beloved mother Thelma Marie Bowman (2007).
He will be sadly missed by his wife Debra; sons Earl and wife Angel, Duwayne and wife Angela, James and wife Missy; grandchildren Alexis, Alyssa, Alivia, Alonna (Grandpas Monster, born on his 54th birthday), Jake, Lacie, Tyler, Zoe, Starr Bascue, Janice Sysel, Brittney Parrott, Eddy Parrott, and Austin Parrott; sisters Ilene VanHouten and husband Bill, Connie Hahn and husband Bill, Jr., and Joyce Smith; brothers Gene Bascue and wife Nina, Marvin Bascue and wife Sandy; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
Cemetery: Private inurnment will be held at a later date in Faucett, Missouri.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home.
