She was born May 18, 1930 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Earl Melendy& Juanita (Evans) Melendy who preceded her in death. She was married for 49 years to Robert, who preceded her on July 15, 2001. Jo was dearly loved by her family as well as her church family at Church of Freedom. She cared for all those less fortunate and gave comfort and shelter to those in need. She filled her time with friends at church, family, the love of gardening & the outdoors. She is survived by her children Peggy Tyler, Michael Bolton, Nancy Miller and Julie Moss, ten grandchildren and also great-grandchildren and sisters Patricia Holt and Betty Sheppard
