Obituary for Michael Thomas Woosley
Michael Thomas Woosley was born June 13, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa to Orville and DeLoris (Wynn) Woosley and passed away on February 22, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. He grew up and graduated from Creston, Iowa High School in 1959. While in high school he enjoyed playing sports. Michael was united in marriage on November 4, 1961 in Creston, Iowa to Karen Elaine Henrich. Together they lived in Creston while he worked for Center Milk Company and a propane gas company. The family moved to Council Bluffs and Michael Started selling insurance. After a few years the family moved to Red Oak, Iowa and he continued selling insurance. In 1991 they moved to Council Bluffs and he began selling advertising. Michael and Karen enjoyed traveling across the Midwest selling advertising until he retired in 2005. After retiring they continued to travel enjoying their time together. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching the grandchildren play sports.Michael is survived by his wife Karen; son Michael Todd and wife Sharon of Council Bluffs; daughter Roxanne Renee Droste and husband Steve of Waterloo, IA; son Monte Wayne and wife Erin of Omaha, NE. Grandsons Tyler Wayne Droste of Waterloo, IA, Zachary Michael Woosley of Omaha and Grant Nathan Woosley of Omaha.
