Robert A. Hutchens, age 95, of Council Bluffs, passed away July 1, 2009 at Risen Son Christian Village. Robert was born January 16, 1914
In Council Bluffs to Carl and Elizabeth (Jarvis) Hutchens. Robert served as a B-29 airplane mechanic for the U.S. Air Force in W.W.II and was an avid inlaid furniture specialist. He worked as a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elizabeth Hutchens, brothers Carl, Floyd, and Vernon.
He is survived by his brother Ralph Hutchens; nieces Karen Cecil and Shirley Hurd; great-nieces Lynn Handley, Lona Wynne, Julie Donley, and Cheri Hobbs.
