Sgt. Brent Matthew Maher, 31, of Council Bluffs, died serving our country in Afghanistan on Monday April 11, 2011. Brent was born in Hamburg, Iowa on December 3, 1979 to Matthew and Cheryl (McGraw) Maher. He was preceded in death by his father Matthew, paternal grandparents Frank and Wilma Maher. He is survived by his wife Brenna; children Kaitlyn, Matthew and Hannah; mother and stepfather Cheryl and Mick Tyner; brother Greg and Tammy; maternal grandparents Roy and Wilma McGraw; father and mother in law Ron and Susan Weihs; brothers in law Tony and Craig Weihs; sister in law Shelbie Weihs, and a host of other family and friends.
