Obituary for Tom D. Brown
Tom D. Brown, age 85, of Council Bluffs passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Azria Health Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley.
He was born on May 22, 1937 in Roscoe, Texas to the late William and Ruby (Gray) Brown. Tom graduated from Odebolt High School in 1955. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from June 1955 to January 1959. Tom married his soulmate Yvonne Vogt in November 15, 1958. He was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church; Masonic Lodge #55 in Norfolk, NE.; owner and operator of Tom’s Clover Farm in Charter Oak, Iowa.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Brown in July 2015; son, James Brown in 1990; brothers, Bill, Darrell and Richard Brown; sister, Anne Brown.
He is survived by daughter, Sandra and Barry Clark of Council Bluffs; sons, Steve and Jill Brown of Fayetteville, GA.; Russ and Carla Brown of Waterloo, NE.; 8 grandchildren, TJ and Erin Mrsny; Chad and Amanda Mrsny; Chantel Mrsny and Logan Strohbehn; Kenton and Agowi Russell; Christopher Brown; Matthew Brown; Brycen Brown; Riley Brown; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Celebration of Life Service on Friday at 3:00PM at Saint John Lutheran Church. Visitation with family One hour prior to the Service. Burial of Cremated remains at Prospect Hill in Norfolk, NE at a Later date. Memorials to the Council Bluffs Humane Society.
