Vera E. Swanger, 96 of Council Bluffs, passed away February 21, 2009 at Midlands Living Center. Vera was born May 23, 1912 in rural Council Bluffs, to John H. and Mary E. (Darland) Sales.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy (Ted) Swanger in 1985 and a daughter Kathleen Kirk in 2008.
She is survived by her children Robert and Claire Swanger, Jerry and Jeanne Swanger, Shirley Croghan, Roger and Dee Swanger, Linda and Frances Ahlman. 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
