Obituary for Virginia Ann Fichter
Virginia Ann Fichter, age 90, of Council Bluffs, passed away October 2, 2017 at her home. She was born on May 11, 1927 in Council Bluffs to Andrew Paul and Frances Irene (Gale) Nelson; who preceded her in death. Virginia worked at the Glenwood State Hospital School and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. In addition to her parents; she is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Fichter in 1985; son Gary Fichter and daughter Christina Fichter.
Virginia is survived by her children Larry Fichter and wife Lynda, Carol Evans, Randy “Baldy” Fichter, Mike Fichter and wife Diane, Marcia Wagaman and husband Richard, Barbara Alber and husband Bill, Nancy Fichter, Beverly Petersen and husband Lee, Theresa Fichter; thirty-one grandchildren; seventy-four great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; sisters Jane Joslin and Christine Durham; brother Tommy Dettmann.
