Visente Briseno, age 81, of Council Bluffs passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Omaha Select Specialty Hospital.
Visente was born on April 21, 1941 in Laredo, Mexico to the late Adrian and Seferina (Benevides) Briseno. He was self-employed in Roofing and Tree Service. Visente served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He married Clara Hogan on March 20,1972 in Council Bluffs. Visente was a member of Corpus Christi Queen of Apostles Church. He enjoyed boxing and volunteered by coaching boxing his entire life.
Visente was preceded in death by 2 sons, Joseph and James Aparo; daughter, Mary Ellen Briseno; brother, Adrian Briseno; uncle, Bernie Benevides.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Briseno; children, John and Kellie Aparo; Joyce Aparo; Clara and Richie Hobbs; Lavon and James Rosiere; daughter-in-law, Vicky Aparo; Visente and Claire Briseno; Kelly Briseno; Anna Jo McKinney; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 1 brother; 6 sisters; aunt, Paula Benevides, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation with family on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00PM at Maher Funeral Home. Funeral Service on Friday at 10:30AM at the Funeral Home. Burial in Ridgewood Cemetery. Family will direct memorials.
