Obituary for Yvonne Joyce Brown
Yvonne J. (Vogt) Brown, age 76, of Council Bluffs, passed away July 29, 2015 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was born October 13, 1938 in Crawford County, IA and married Tom D. Brown in Salix, IA on November 15, 1958. Yvonne and Tom moved to the Northern Apartments in Council Bluffs on May 30, 2015 after residing in Tripp, SD for nine years. They were avid RV travelers for eleven years. Yvonne worked as a clerk at the grocery store that she and Tom owned. She also worked as a daycare provider.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Minnie (Nammany) Vogt; sister Unabell Vogt; brothers Duwayne Vogt and Gary Vogt; and son Jim Brown.
She is survived by her husband Tom ; daughter Sandra Clark of Council Bluffs; son Steve Brown of Fayetteville, GA, son Russ Brown of Waterloo, NE; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother Don Vogt of Sulfer, OK and sister Colleen Ashfield of Vancouver WA.; and forty-five foster children.
