Obituary for Sharon Lea Mills Borden
Sharon Lea Mills Borden, age 78, of Crescent passed away December 23, 2015 at her home. She was born January 30, 1937 in New Market, IA. to Elden and Creola Coral (Thomas) Clayton; who preceded her in death. Sharon was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in 1955. She married Milo Glen Borden on February 18, 1956 and lived in Kansas City. Sharon was a librarian for Metro Tech Community College where she retired in 1992. She enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, camping, and traveling with the love of her life, Milo. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and longtime friends and playing many games and cards. She enjoyed her winters in Alamo Rose where she took many dance lessons, played a lot of games, went to parties, and developed lasting friendships with many people.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her grandson Ryan Elden Payne.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Milo Borden; children Jon Borden, Connie Payne and her husband Rick, Jeff Borden and his wife Debbie; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister Marvel Mayberry and her husband Bob, brother Richard Clayton and his wife Caren; several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was an unbelievable wife, mother, and grandmother and will always be remembered, loved, and missed.
